Hotel Admiral Lugano

Positive, The location is fantastic. Only a short walk to the cogwheel for Monte San Salvatore and the lake. Our room was spacious, perfect for my family of three. The indoor and terrace swimming pools were amazing! Breakfast had plenty of options, great for vegetarians 🌟

I came here with my dog. The stuff was polite and courteous, and the service was good! I appreciated being there.

the location was perfect - an easy walk to everywhere we wanted to go. we liked the contemporary-style building and our fully-equipped and freshly renovated room with twin beds.

It had a bit hard beds, and the views appeared to be not very good.

This hotel is centrally located for sightseeing.

The noise from the hallway was quite bothersome, and my room felt uncomfortably warm. I struggled with the AC as it seemed to blow warm air most of the time. The walk back to the train station was strenuous due to the uphill climb, especially with luggage.

Efficient personnel is at reception desk.

Positive, The classic double room was spacious, clean and had a modern design. The breakfast had a great selection, although I had to pay extra for some items. Loved the location, close to the funicular and just a short walk downhill to the lake. The staff was super helpful with local recommendations 😊

The breakfast offered plenty of choices, and the staff served it with a friendly attitude. The room felt quite spacious, with a comfortable bed along with a well-stocked mini bar. I appreciated the modern decor and the convenience of having a coffee machine.

The breakfast was large with varying foods and pancakes, for instance for the continental breakfast. We got room with nice decor and a reasonably sized bathroom to relax. Location: the hotel was next to the bus stop and Migros, several tourist attractions, and the train station and the bus station as well as boat docks.

It's a cliche, but actually the staff were all very friendly and efficient. I had no complaints about them at all.

As other reviewers noted, this hotel is in serious need of an update. Whilst the rooms were perfectly clean and reasonably comfortable (and the staff impeccable polite and helpful), the hotel is really pretty scuzzy. I should think it must be at least 25 or 30 years since it was fitted out, and you can tell. Everything is marked, worn, faded, out-of-date and in many cases just plain ugly.

The staff was super friendly and cute, and being centrally positioned made it so easy to walk to beautiful spots like Lake Lugano and the nearby funicular to Monte San Salvatore, perfect for a scenic hike!

Breakfast was good and the staff was all very nice. Hotel is in need of a little fixing up but I'd still stay there again.

Couldn't turn down the heat so had to open the windows to cool down at night.

Only 30 minutes stroll along the promenade to Lugano main centre but excellent bus connections if desired. Tourist hop on - hop off "train" stops around the corner at San Salvatore funicular railway. Boat pier for trips 5 minute stroll to promenade.

Our shower flow on 6th floor was very weak.
